Our 6 Favorite Vegan Summer Dessert Recipes

If you need a little summer dessert recipe inspiration or are looking for a new vegan dessert recipe to try, here are six of our favorite summertime sweet treats!

These go-to vegan dessert recipes from Team CHF will surprise and delight your taste buds. They’re so delicious that even meat-eaters will want seconds!

First up…

Who doesn’t love a slice of chocolate cake?

We sure do! But, sometimes we don’t want to make a full-size one (it’s too tempting to devour it all!).

That’s why we love Chocolate Covered Katie’s One Minute Chocolate Mug Cake.

If you prefer an oil-free version, we like to substitute the oil with nut butter.

If you’re gluten-free, our web designer and marketing guru says this mug cake is delicious made with GF flour, but note that depending on the flour mix, sometimes you’ve got to adjust the liquid to dry ratio. She also prefers it oil-free and has used applesauce, pear sauce, and various nut butters all with tasty results.

And if you like a little extra decadence adding in a tablespoon or so of chocolate chips is extra yummy!

Our next favorite summer recipe is another chocolate dessert...

This is unbelievably YUMMY and creamy!!

Seriously, try it, and you’ll see what we mean ;)

No dessert table is complete without a cookie, and we absolutely love these oil-free, gluten-free, no-bake cookies. It’s a super easy vegan recipe making it perfect for those busy days when you’re craving something sweet.

Depending on your sweetness preference, these are fabulous with the maple syrup for a sweeter cookie or without for a slightly less sweet cookie. Either way, these are a great option for this time of year, with no oven required!

If you’re not into a chocolate dessert, never fear! We’ve got you covered with our final three favorites.

The first of our favorite non-chocolate summertime recipes are Nora Cook’s Vegan Lemon Bars. Mmmm! Lemon bars!!

Contrary to popular opinion, it IS possible to make lemon bars without eggs. Further proof that enjoying a plant-based diet doesn’t mean depriving yourself of yummy treats!

Cheesecakes are another dessert that many people believe they’ll have to give up when adopting a vegan diet. Thankfully, this isn’t the case!

There are many, many vegan cheesecake recipes out there, but here at CHF, we’re partial to The Unconventional Baker’s Candied Pecan Cheesecake

We love to enjoy it right out of the freezer to help cool off during these hotter than hot summer months.

Another vegan treat that’s perfect for sweltering days are Veggie Inspired’s Watermelon Popsicles with Cucumber and Lime.

These popsicles are fruity, cool, easy, and so delish!
